Mr. Shipman Mr. Dennis Shipman joined Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy in 2017. He has been in education for over ten years as a substitute teacher. Mr. Shipman obtained a bachelor’s degree from The University of Michigan (Go Blue!). He later received his teacher certification from Marygrove College. Mr. Shipman has been happily married for seventeen years. He has two wonderful boys, ages nine and thirteen. Mr. Shimpan loves to spend time with his family. They enjoy camping, hiking and biking together. They also really enjoy having family game nights. Mr. Shipman likes to work out, lifting weights, and enjoys all other sports. He is looking forward to a great year at Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy.

Mrs. Klemm Mrs. Allison (Rousseau) Klemm has taught Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grades since she joined the Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy family in 2005. Mrs. Klemm completed her undergraduate education and post-graduate work at Oakland University. As your child's teacher, Mrs. Klemm looks forward to using her fourteen years of classroom experience to encourage the growth and development of all students at MTCMA. In her spare time, Mrs. Klemm loves to snuggle and play with her sweet little boy, Ethan Everest. She also enjoys creating things on the computer, playing tennis, spoiling her two nephews, Matthew and Luke, and fishing in her backyard with her husband. Mrs. Klemm is inspired by the story Thank You, Mr. Falker by Patricia Polacco.
Mrs. Balasis Mrs. Samantha Balasis is excited to begin her fifth year teaching here at Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy. She graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies, Elementary Education and Science. She has two wonderful boys, John and James. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. She loves doing crafts and reading. She looks forward to an exciting year in fifth grade!

Ms. Coleman Ms. Alissa Coleman is excited to start her third year at Mt. Clemens Montessori Academy. She is a native Floridian, and recently relocated to Michigan with her son (David) and dog (Sunny). Ms. Coleman graduated from Southeastern University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and then completed Elementary Education courses to complete that degree as well. Creating life-long learners is a passion of Ms. Coleman’s, along with baking and decorating. She is looking forward to creating a classroom culture of family and fun.
